Season of Wisdom

season-of-wisdom

You may feel like your season of singleness is full of so many lessons and you may even have moments where you feel like you are trying to keep up. I want you to be encouraged during this season. I could go on and on about the lessons God gives, but I highly hope you take in the most valuable lesson ever.

The lesson of wisdom.

There are loads of scriptures that talk about wisdom in the Bible, but taking in God’s wisdom is a choice. Asking God for wisdom is a choice. Trusting that God will give you the wisdom you need is a choice.Your single season is full of choices, but you will have to let go of your feelings and what you think you know in order to seek God for wisdom that will lead you through any circumstance you face.

You may have questions about the next stages in your life. You may have questions about if you should court someone or not in this season. You may have questions if you should take a certain career or should you just pass it up. You may have questions about your talents and gifts. You may have questions about your family and friends in this season. The list of questions can go on and on.

I wanted to share 3 scriptures that you can meditate on when you have questions for God during your single season. He is the only one who can see all and he knows all. During your season of singleness there are so many opportunities and circumstances that arise, but without the wisdom of God or his answers, you can go on your own wisdom. You can go down a path that might not be the path God wanted you to go on. The wisdom of God will show you which way to turn. God can see what you can’t see. No human mind can comprehend what God wants to do. You can try all you want, but God will allow circumstances to come to you that you have no answers for.

So you will come to him for heavenly wisdom and answers.

There was a time in my life where I felt like I needed wisdom from God in a powerful new way. I didn’t know what door to go through and I needed a touch from God. A few years ago I took a few months to just really surrender my choices to God. I started to find scriptures on wisdom and guidance. I didn’t want wisdom from people. I knew I had to train myself with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I needed to make a step and stop trying to allow my pride to interfere. The moment I started to cry out to God for wisdom. I noticed my eyes opening up and I started to see clearly what God wanted to do in my life.

Below are 3 scriptures that you can use to guide you and a prayer to help you as you learn to navigate each season. Each scripture helped me during my season when I cried out for wisdom, but I still continue to use these scriptures now.

Proverbs 1:7 NIV- The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 NIV- To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
Proverbs 2:6 NIV- For the Lord gives wisdom, from his mouth, come knowledge and understanding.

Prayer for wisdom during your season of singleness:

Dear Lord,
I am asking you for wisdom. I want to do your will and I don’t know which way to turn. I have situations in my life that seem impossible. You made me and everything around me. Help me not make choices on my own or try to do stuff by myself. Help me look to you and only you for all of the wisdom I need. There comes a point in my life especially in this single season where I daily come to the end of myself. There is no way I can do stuff on my own. Only by your spirit can I conquer the walls in front of me. Only by your spirit can I overcome. Thank you for using me and teaching me lessons as I walk through this season. The lessons I learn can only be found in the depth of your presence. In Jesus Christ name amen.

I pray that you would reflect on each scripture and learn that when you have an issue there is no problem God can’t solve. God bless you.
